Family announces public celebration of Mark Scholten’s life

BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Mark Scholten’s family has set a date for a public celebration of the long-time sportscaster’s life.

The ceremony will be held Sunday, September 17th at 3 p.m. in the Bellingham High School Performing Arts Center.

Everyone is invited to remember Mark and his 30-plus years of broadcasting on KPUG and KGMI.

Mark died of natural causes earlier this month.

KPUG will present a program revisiting his long and distinguished career on Tuesday, August 22nd.

Hear it at 3 p.m. on KPUG 1170, 97.9 FM and KPUG1170.COM.
