Donnell Tanksley named Blaine Police Chief

BLAINE, Wash. — Blaine officially has a new police chief.

Mayor Bonnie Onyon swore in Donnell Tanksley as Blaine Chief of Police on Monday.

The Oregonian reports that Tanksley was assistant chief at Western Washington University for several years before being hired by the Portland State University Police.

The Air Force veteran also served 21 years with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.

Tanksley replaces Allen Schubert who resigned after less than a year on the job.
