PHOTOS: Car fire temporarily halts southbound I-5 traffic

FERNDALE, Wash. — A car fire complicated Tuesday morning’s commute on I-5.

The accident temporarily blocked both sides of southbound I-5 just north of Slater road around 8:30 a.m.

Crews worked to clear the accident while cars managed to pass using the shoulder.

No further information is available about injuries or the cause of the accident.
