BTC awarded $1.3 million grant

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Technical College just got a big boost.

The US Department of Education awarded BTC a $1.3 million grant to support student services through their TRIO SSS program.

The program provides a variety of services to low income students, first generation college students and students with disabilities who they say are disproportionately impacted by instututional, personal and financial barriers that make it difficult to stay in college.

BTC says the majority of their students are eligible for the program.
