BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Bellingham Police are working to identify a suspect in a stabbing early Saturday, May 21st.
Lt. Claudia Murphy says officers were called to the scene of a fight in the 1100 block of Billy Frank Jr. Street at about 12:30 a.m.
A group of people said they tried to restrain a man who had stabbed another person, but the suspect was able to get away.
The person who was stabbed was seeking help at a nearby fire station and was taken to the hospital with a minor wound in the back.
The victim said he was stabbed when he tried to intervene in the fight.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20’s, around 6′ tall and thin.
He was wearing a white t-shirt and black baseball cap.
