We learned that Kim Jong Un brings his own toilet with him when he travels. Okay, weird. But, hey, we all have our things.
We asked KAFE listeners what they like to pack when they travel that other people might not think of. And we got some great ideas! Here’s a sampling:
- A list of everything you packed. Karen suggests putting this in your suitcase so when you’re ready to come home, you can double-check and make sure you have everything.
- Empty plastic bags. Tina packs Zip-Locs and garbage bags for wet clothes and other messy things.
- Collapsible Ice Chest. Karen suggests bring an ice chest along so you can store perishables in your hotel room.
- Bubble Bath. Debbie likes a nice, relaxing bubble bath, so why not on vacation?
- Your pillow. Karen doesn’t like random pillows, so she brings her own!
- Peanut Butter. Shelly loves the stuff but can’t find it in Europe. So, she makes sure to bring her own!
- A Dryer Sheet. Lori puts one in her suitcase to keep everything smelling dryer-fresh!
- GPS – Justin takes his Garmin along so he can find his way around. He says it works better than his phone when in other countries.
- An empty water bottle. Cyndi fills hers up after she goes through security so she doesn’t have to buy water in the airport.
- An extension cord. This is something Dave always packs so he can use his phone from wherever he wants, even if the outlet is far away. It also turns one outlet into three.
- Clorox Wipes. Mandy points out that the tray tables on planes don’t get cleaned regularly. So, she makes sure she can do it herself!
