BLAINE, Wash. – Chuckanut Bay Foods was looking to grow, and Blaine provided the space.

The Northern Light reported the company bought just over two-acres of land at the old Blaine airport site, or Gateway Parcel, for nearly 400 thousand dollars.

The owners of Chuckanut Bay Foods submitted a building permit on December 11th, hope to break ground on the new production facility in the spring and open by fall.

The company produces locally-sourced cheesecakes and desserts that are sold at major and small retailers.
