Yay! You did it! You had a goal to set a budget and you completed the task! Phew.  That major step is out of the way. Just remember, you can’t make a budget and consider it written in stone. Lots of people create their budget and never look back. But financial experts agree that budgeting is a fluid process that should be monitored and adjusted regularly. Maybe you decide to purchase a new car during the year? Now you’re car payment is an extra $100 a month. Time to adjust the budget! Or maybe you paid off your car and now you don’t have a car payment at all. Time to adjust the budget! If you never look back at payments have might have changed, you could fall into the trap of spending extra money unnecessarily—or worse, coming up short. The solution? Simply look over your budget at least once a month to ensure that nothing has changed or to alter anything that has.
