People waste a ton of money throwing out food. We buy it, it sits in the fridge, we forget about it, we throw it out. One tip for ensuring you use everything up is to hang your receipt on the front of your fridge after your grocery trip. Use it as a reminder to eat what you bought before it goes bad. When you finish a food item, simply cross it off of your receipt. Then you know what’s gone and what’s still sitting in there waiting to be used. It also serves as a financial motivator when you see the grand total of your grocery trip staring you in the face every time you open the fridge. You know if you don’t use the food you have, you can kiss a portion of that money goodbye!
