Live small. One of the biggest things we can do to tame the cost of housing is to choose to live in a home that actually fits our needs. A family of four does not need 4000 square feet. When choosing your home, remember that a smaller house will cost less to heat and cool, will be easier to clean, and keep up with the overall  maintenance.
