Simply writing down your financial goals can make you more likely to actually achieve them.  Instead of them existing in your head as something you just ‘keep in mind’ as you carry on with daily life, write them down.  It helps put your daily purchases in perspective and holds you accountable.  And make sure you do it whether they’re big or small.  A house or new running shoes. A Hawaiian vacation or new lawn furniture. Suddenly coming home from Target with bunch of stuff you don’t need seems a lot less appealing when you realize you’re now farther away from your goal.
