Dog owners are more likely to:
• Be in senior management
• Not have a college degree
• Be extroverted and agreeable
• Be in the fields of education, nursing, IT, entertainment or the military
Cat owners are more likely to:
• Be divorced, widowed or separated
• Live in an apartment
• Be open to new experiences
• Be college educated
• Be in real estate, a physician, a machine operator or a personal caretaker
Bird owners are more likely to:
• Be unemployed
• Be socially outgoing
• Describe themselves as polite and caring
Snake, lizard and other cold-blooded exotic pet owners are more likely to:
• Be male
• Be less agreeable than owners of traditional pets
• Be novelty-seeking
• Be hardworking and reliable
