If you wanna cut down on your grocery budget, try to limit the number of convenience foods per trip. In fact, experts say when you go to the grocery store, buy whole foods and use every part, if you can.
For example, buy a whole chicken, instead of boneless skinless chicken breasts. Then, use that chicken for dinner, use the remaining for a freezer meal, make chicken broth, etc. Go back to cutting your own veggies instead of the pre-cut tubs.
This will take more time and more work but your wallet will thank you.
