Have you ever thought you’d be better at naming colors than the Crayola people? Well, here’s your chance!
There are about 16.8 million colors in the red-green-blue color spectrum. That’s what we use to define colors on the Internet. And now you can take part in a project that wants to name ALL of them.
They’re doing it through crowdsourcing. All you have to do is go to ColorNames.org. Then, you can pick the colors you want to name, or have the site assign you a random one.
As long as the name you pick is unique, descriptive, and non-offensive, it becomes official.
