A person with an extra job on the side makes, on average, an extra $9,948 a year, according to a new study. Here are the top five best earning side hustles:
1. Airbnb – Airbnb hosts make an extra $924 a month. That makes it the most profitable side hustle out there.
2. TaskRabbit – This web site is an online marketplace that matches freelancers to people who need things done. Want a logo made for your website? You can find a designer on TaskRabbit to hire. Even if you need someone to mow your lawn, you can find them on TaskRabbit. TaskRabbit members make $380 a month on average.
3. Lyft – The average Lyft driver makes an extra $377 a month. Some make more.
4. Uber – Uber comes in close behind Lyft. Uber drivers make $364 a month on average.
5. DoorDash – This isn’t available in northwest Washington yet, but if you’re in Seattle, Everett, Lynwood, or Mukilteo, you could deliver for DoorDash. They’re an on-demand food delivery service that makes its drivers an average of $229 a month.
