A couple quick tips to help you save money AND the environment!
–Use cloth kitchen towels – cloth is recyclable and will save you money, but if you need to purchase napkins and paper towels choose the recycled products that are now available.
–Get a water filter or refill dispenser jugs vs single-serve, single-use plastic bottles.
–Vacuum your fridge coils – doing this 3 to 4 times a year or more if you have pets will reduce your electric bill
–Wash clothes in cold water – save roughly 80% of washer energy which is normally used with hot water by washing your clothes in cold water.
–Shop the bulk bins to save packaging on grains, beans, cereals, pasta and snacks.
