Stores like Target include scanners in their aps too so you can price check before you even get to the register, they also link coupons in their apps that come off the total when you check out.  Also check out rebate apps like Ibotta, SavingStar, Fetch, and Shopkick that refund you the partial price of and item when you scan your receipt!
