It’s been getting cold lately. Here are some tips from My Garden Nursery to help your plants make it through the cold weather!
-The NUMBER ONE, MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do to to help your container plants during the cold weather is to make sure they have plenty of water.
-Use frost cloth or burlap if we get weather well below freezing. And, with big winds coming, My Garden Nursery recommends using staples to keep the frost cloth put.
-Another product to help your plants is Wilt Stop. It helps reduce moisture loss when plants are stressed. It also helps extend the life of cut Christmas trees and wreaths.
-Move any smaller planters close together and next to your home.
-Last tip…walk your garden, checking your plants that may need a little extra “something.” You can take a picture and bring it to My Garden Nursery to see what the experts advise. It may be that the plant you are worried about is hearty and can handle the weather just fine.
Stay warm!
