Numbers that should be in your phone

When you need to call someone right now, you don’t want to have to spend time finding their contact info. That’s why we recommend putting these numbers in your phone right now:

Your Local Police and Fire Departments – Yes, 911 is quick and easy to dial, but sometimes you have a situation that isn’t exactly an emergency but you still need to talk to emergency services.

Your Local Utilities – If your water or power ever get shut off you’re going to want to call and report it. Make it easy on yourself by having their numbers ready to go.

Bank, Credit Union, and Credit Card Companies – When the ATM says you’re out of cash and you know you’re not, this call can’t wait. Likewise, if your credit card is turned down or stolen, that number is essential.

• ICE (In Case of Emergency) Contact – If you’re ever in an accident and emergency officials need to get ahold of a spouse or relative, they may look through the contacts in your phone to find them. Make it easy on them by labeling your best contact with the letters “ICE.”

Taxi Cab – Okay, Uber and Lyft are big but it’s still a good idea to be able to call a classic and reliable taxi service, just in case.

Your Doctors – When your kid suddenly breaks out in hives and you need to talk to somebody, you’re not going to want to take the time to find the number. Have it handy.

Poison Control Center – Did your kid just drink furniture polish? Is that a big deal? These are the folks who can quickly tell you what you need to do.

Animal Control – When a strange, angry dog won’t let you out of your car, you’re gonna want to make that call in a hurry!

Your Next-Door Neighbor – Make sure you have a connection to your neighborhood no matter where you go. This is especially handy if one of your neighbors has your key. Not sure you turned the stove off? Make that call.

Tow Truck Company – When you need ’em, you need ’em now.

Car Insurance Agent – If you’re in an accident, you may need to call 911 first. The very next call should be to your insurance company.

Your Favorite Take-out Food – Because when you’re hungry… you’re hungry!

The KAFE studio line – Did Dave and Mandy just say something that needs a comment? Call ’em! They love hearing from you! (360-676-KAFE. That’s 360-676-5233.)
