Having more than one savings account lets you budget for specific goals.  So, beyond your emergency savings account…what are you budgeting for?  Give those accounts names that help you keep your eyes on the prize? Maybe you’ll name one ‘vacation fund’ or ‘Peloton bike’ or ‘kitchen remodel.’ Having an individual account for every goal allows you to earmark funds for those goals, and keep them at the forefront of your mind when you feel like splurging in the wrong direction.
