We love meeting fascinating people who live right here in Northwest Washington. And they don’t get much more fascinating than Dave Mauro.
You may have seen Dave on stage at the Upfront Theatre. Or read his articles in Adventures NW magazine. We had a chance to meet him this morning on the day his new book is being released, and he’s a pretty amazing guy.
(Click here to hear our conversation!)
Dave is one of only 65 Americans who has been to the top of the highest mountains on all seven continents! But he never set out to be a mountain climber.
Dave’s book, The Altitude Journals, tells the story of his seven-year journey from the lowest point in his life to the highest point on Earth. It’s a story of redemption, adventure and a “wonderful, quirky, kind of Bellingham-based love.”
By the way, you can get a great deal on the e-book version this week only. It’s being offered for just 99 cents! After this week the e-book goes up to $7.99.
Check out Dave’s website to find out more, including where to meet him on his book-signing tour.
Thank you, Dave, for spending some time with us on KAFE 104.1 with Dave and Mandy in the Morning!
