I started my weekend celebrating a friend’s birthday at Twin Sisters, but I completely forgot to snap any pics. I’m trying to get better, but I’m way more of a ‘live in the moment’ gal than a ‘remember to capture every moment on camera’ one. Hope I don’t regret that when I’m older and my memory fades! Ha!
I spent Saturday morning hanging out with the folks at Haggen & Hempler’s for ‘Cause for Paws!’ Haggen is raising money for local pet related non-profit organizations thru March 3rd. You can donate at any Whatcom County Haggen store–either cash or a pet related product (food, toys, etc.). Shout out to Hempler’s for grilling up their delish hot dogs by donation to help out. Don’t forget to enter the pet photo contest for a chance at Haggen gift cards!
One of the organizations participating in ‘Cause for Paws‘ is Happy Tails, Happy Homes! They’re a foster based program and when I spoke with Vicki on Saturday, she said they really need more foster families right now. Check them out if that’s something your family can accommodate!
Sunday, my friend Paula and I volunteered at Bellewood Farms to help bottle their Honeycrisp Vodka! We all took turns with various jobs including bottling, capping, labeling, stocking, and more. Think of me if you get your hands on a bottle of Batch 11! Bellewood took good care of us and we got to sample a little of the product too. You know me, always happy to drink for a cause. 🙂
