A cabaret! A drag show! A house chicken? And a failed attempt at a movie! Here’s my weekend in 5 pics…
I celebrated Valentine’s Day with a few friends at Sugar: A Cabaret at The Underground in Bellingham. The amazing and talented Brie Turoff Mueller and cast put together a fantastic show!
From Sugar we walked down the street to Rumors Cabaret for the special Valentine’s edition of their weekly QAF Drag Show. A blast, as always. The shows are most Fridays–just remember to bring your $1!
I hung out with some good friends Saturday who have a house chicken. Know anyone that keeps their chickens inside? They swear it’s just while they’re rehabbing her, but something tells me otherwise. 😉 She is very sweet though…and you know I’m not an animal person! I can’t remember what kind of chicken she is–but it was a ‘bucket list’ breed for my girlfriend.
Have you had a chance to try the new(ish) bar downtown Bham, L&L Libations? Fantastic! Admittedly, I should have snapped a pic of our drinks or the delicious dip trio we shared for happy hour…but I remembered on the way out to snag a pic of the sign. Brought to you by the folks at Leaf & Ladle, L&L Libations is located right next door on State Street. Happy Hour 4-7 daily!
I rounded out my weekend by trying…and failing…to see Parasite at The Pickford. I guess everyone had the same idea. It was sold out! Anyone else planning to check it out? The Pickford has added a few more showtimes since their Best Picture win, and they’re also running the black & white version too!
