A lot of people talk about living with intention and being purposeful in the new year, make sure you’re doing this with your finances too. Experts point out there’s a difference between saving money and saving money with intentions. So, don’t just know you spent less…because you went out to eat one less time or put that impulse buy back on the shelf…spend less AND put the money you save aside for a purpose. Maybe you’re saving for future educational expenses, retirement, or an emergency fund. Or even a vacation! Doesn’t matter what it is, just be purposeful with your savings, or you’ll wind up spending what feels like ‘extra money’ at the end of the month!
