Seems like every few months we learn of another security breech that puts our finances and personal information in jeopardy. Whether it be a department store, and investment group or a financial institution, when hackers get their hands on the information, it can cause serious problems for consumers. Here’s a few things you should do any time you hear of a data breach:
-Call and cancel your card immediately. Request a new one.
-Do not respond to any email requesting additional information regarding this account.
-Do not open any links from an email discussing your credit card account.
-Correspond with the company by a phone call that you initiate.
-Continue to keep your guard up for months even if it appears nothing is happening.
