You want to give back to your community, but not sure you have the time or money to do so? I have three frugal, quick and easy ways you can contribute to the community without breaking the bank:
Round Up-Many times grocery stores have a chance for you to round up your bill to the nearest dollar to donate to charity. Do it! It may seem like a really small amount, but it’s power in numbers. If everyone does it, it really helps out!
Coupon For The Food Bank-If you’re couponer, consider sharing part of your stockpile with the foodbank…or do a shopping trip that you coupon with the sole intent of donating the trip. You can make a large donation for a small out of pocket cost.
Save Your Pennies and Change-You’d be surprised at how much change you can collect over the course of a few months. drop it in boxes that collect change for certain charities like the Salvation Army red kettle or the Ronald McDonald house.
At the end of the day, it’s not how much you give…it’s how much your heart was open to the giving process. If you think you can’t afford to give, think of these three ways to give on a budget.
