How to get the most out of the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival runs throughout April, and this year the tulips are timing their appearance perfectly, expected to start blooming during the first week of the month!

There are two display gardens open to the public, Tulip Town and RoozenGaarde. Parking is free at both, admission is $7, kids 5 and under are free. You can also simply drive around and view the flowers without paying to go into the fields.

DRIVING: Take I-5 exit 230 in Burlington and go west on Highway 20. After four traffic lights, turn left on Best Road. When you hit the roundabout, you’re right in the middle of the tulips!

The Tulip Festival’s David Johnson suggests checking the Bloom Map to plan your route.  He also makes the point that coming mid-week will offer an easier traffic experience than the weekend.
