Get on the same team with your partner. So many relationship issues having to do with money.  And often its how the other person is spending right?  Yeah, it’s always the other persons fault. Sitting down together and going over the bills and budget can help avoid those financial disasters. Even if one person is “in charge” of balancing the books…it’s still in your best interest to sit down together and go over the budget itself.  Making sure your on the same page about how things are being allocated will help alleviate financial disagreements.
