According to a new survey, two out of three people were overcharged on at least one bill in the last year. One out of three people were overcharged on MORE than one bill . . . and 95% of the time, if the customer doesn’t find the mistake, the company’s not going to tell them about it.
And on average, it took two months for the mistake to be resolved, either by the customer getting a refund, or the charge being removed. But 6% of people NEVER got the mistake resolved.
And finally, the larger the mistakeā¦the longer it took to recover the money. In fact, in several cases, it took a combined 6 hours on the phone with the company to get the mistake taken care of.
