This week’s gardening tip is to add fragrance to your garden. Plants should bring joy to your eyes…AND YOUR NOSE!
Plant Hyacinth, Osmanthus, and Daphnes right now for sweet smells in the spring. Plant Sarcococca and Camellia Fairy Blush for winter fragrance. And, Abelia for soft scent summer through fall.
My Garden Nursery still has a few Catsura Trees left that give off a yummy caramel scent when their leaves turn beautiful autumn colors.
NEW THIS YEAR…Fairy Blush Magnolias! These evergreen magnolias can be used as a hedge that will be blanketed with lightly perfumed flowers in the spring. Flowers aren’t just at the ends of the stems, but all along them.
