I’ve never been one of those people who loves to exercise. Working out in the gym feels more like a “have to” than a “want to” to me.
I’m much more likely to exercise by getting outside. Riding my bike, swimming in a lake or hiking a local trail are lots more satisfying ways to move my body than watching TV on a treadmill.
So I was pretty excited to find the Washington Trails Association web site, which has everything you need to know about hundreds of great hikes around the state.
I had no idea there were SO MANY great trails so close! And you can find one by choosing your desired distance, elevation and what kinds of things you want to see when you get there.
Yesterday the dogs and I went to Lookout Mountain, which isn’t far from Sudden Valley. Check out the short waterfall video above! It’s just a little over two miles, with a pretty good elevation change, and was the perfect little hike for a late afternoon.
Biscuit, Dexter and I are ready to try them all! Want to find the perfect hike for you? Click here and explore!
See you on the trails!
