Two beautiful, hearty perennials are Goldenrod and Asters. Goldenrod ‘Crown of Rays’ maxes out at about 2 by 2. Mix these yellow, arching perennials with several lavender or blue asters for great color contrast. Asters are in abundance right now. They’re inexpensive and grow fairly fast. Pollinators will be drawn to both of these plants that are mostly carefree. Both want a sunny place in your garden and make nice cut flowers, too! Plant multiple plants to create an area just for the bees and butterflies!
