It might be too wet and cold to enjoy your outside garden right now, but everyone can benefit from having plants inside their home. Not just because they are beautiful, but they also clean the air of pollutants and toxins.
One of the favorites at My Garden Nursery is the Sansevieria, or snake plant. They give off significant amounts of oxygen and thrive in low light – a winning combination. There are a bunch of different types of snake plants, including thin-leaved, striped, tall, short, and the whalefin – a chubby-leafed variety. They are all super-easy to grow. There are some that only need water about six or seven times per year.
If you find snake plants a bit boring, then plant them in a fun pot. Maybe a turtle or a panda bear. Sure…you could plant in a bright red or yellow planter, but it’s way more fun to pop them into a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
