GREEN THUMB THURSDAY: What is Borage?

Ever see pretty flowers frozen in ice cubes and think to yourself, “I wish I could do that?” Well, you can.

Borage, also called starflower, is an easy, fast-growing, annual herb with vivid blue flowers with the flavor and scent of cucumbers. Bonus: it brings pollinators to your garden and is known to be a good companion plant for tomatoes, squash and strawberries.

The vibrant, blue flowers can be added to salads or frozen into ice cubes! There is also a white version! Borage is an annual but often reseeds. Where can you find Borage? At My Garden Nursery on East Bakerview with the big purple flamingo, of course! Let us help you have the garden of your dreams and the prettiest ice cubes at the party!
