This week, I’m highlighting my favorite variety of plum – Methley Plum. Methley plum is a popular, self-fertile, Japanese plum cultivar that reliably sets heavy crops of round, juicy, and mouthwateringly sweet plums. A favorite of children and adults, this plum also makes a fine jam. On top of the fruit, plum trees are beautiful in bloom and make a tidy and symmetrical garden tree that can be appreciated year-round.
