How do you garden when there’s wind, hail, and event snow? The experts at My Garden Nursery like to garden 365 days a year…even during winter weather!
You can stay warm inside and plant early spring veggie seeds like lettuce, peas, broccoli, cabbage, and spinach! Start your peas between two wet paper towels. It only takes about 4 days for them to sprout. Then, you can pop the seeds into a little peat pot. In a few weeks, it can be planted outside!
All you need to start a little veggie garden is seeds, lightweight starter soil, plast or cocoa flats, and a dome to provide humidity. A heating mat, labels, and a mister bottle are helpful, too. Plant the seeds about the same depth as its thickness. Mist them twice each day. After they start to sprout, check them daily. You want the soil to be moist, but not soggy.
