Hi! It’s Jenny from My Garden Nursery!
The question most asked this week is how to keep your roses thriving. Here’s a couple tips!
If you haven’t pruned your roses, then right NOW is the time. Use sharp bypass pruners and remove any dead or weak wood. For Hybrid Teas, trim to an outward facing bud and always at an angle so the water will roll off. Proper pruning helps increase air circulation, stimulates growth, and prevents disease.
Give roses full sun and consistent water. Here’s Ciscoe Morris’ “Recipe for Success!” Mix a cup of alfalfa meal and a cup of organic rose fertilizer at the base of each plant every 6 weeks. This trick will have your roses bursting with blooms!
Tell your cashier you heard this on the radio and they will give you 20% off all your rose purchases through March 31st.
