It’s time to plant fragrant paperwhite bulbs for the holidays. The sooner the better if you’re planting them in the soil.
Plant the bulbs so that the top half of the bulb is above soil level. Paperwhites have a tendency to grow tall and a bit floppy. See Nancy for her tip involving vodka to keep them shorter. Cheryl recommends placing the planter in a dark, cool location for about a week to promote good root development and sturdy growth.
Jenny thinks the easiest way to grow them is inside a glass vase with pebbles and water. The water should be just below the bulb. The rocks will stabilize the plant. Your beautiful plant will stay upright inside the glass.
