Someone out there right now is eating a pear from the tree that they planted just a few years ago. It could have been you!
Yes, we just had some extreme weather, but generally January and February are great times to select and plant fruit trees! Michelle at My Garden Nursery’s favorite is the Chojuro Asian Pear. She loves it because it is large, super juicy and full of flavor! She says it’s just like eating candy off of a tree! Chojuro ripens in September and keeps for months, which means you could be eating one in January.
My Garden Nursery receives their first fruit tree delivery this Saturday. Make sure to have a My Garden expert help you find the right pollinator for your tree. Hosui is a good pollinizer for Chojuro. Learn more about our Fruit Tree Seminars February 3rd and 10th at My Garden Nursery!
