Hi! It’s Jenny from My Garden Nursery! It’s a funny time of the year. The weather can’t make up its mind. It’s 90 one day and the next it’s 60. Mother nature has a weird sense of humor. I do, too!
What happens when a flower blushes?
It turns rosy!
What is a chicken’s favorite plant?
Eggplant!
What is deer resistant, rarely bothered by insects or disease and low maintenance? A big, metal sunflower and … Barberry.
Barberry is a super-hearty plant that comes in various sizes. They have glorious colors of orange, reds, pinks and yellows. In the spring, their bright colored leaves start colorful and then stay constant through the seasons, unlike many plants that turn those colors only in the fall. They all have thorns that keep deer away.
Barberry is no joke. It is one good garden plant that will keep you in stitches if you get poked by the thorns.
