Our first Festive Friday is in the books! In case you missed any of it or just wanted to follow up with all the awesomeness you heard coming out of your speakers today, here’s the recap!

In the studio, we had:

• Julie Holterman, the Lynden FFA Advisor brought in Remy, Lucy, Carter, and Regan to talk about their stolen tractor. And… spoiler alert… THEY GOT A NEW TRACTOR! Big thank you to Scholten’s Equipment in conjunction with Kubota for making this happen!
• Lorin O’Grady came in from the Mt. Baker Theatre to talk about the Bellingham Winter Wedding Show happening January 19th, 2025.
• John Neeter from Neeter House of Luxury came in to chat about diamonds and custom designed jewelery. He’s an awesome resource for all things jewelry. 
• Anna from Belle Bridal and JB Formal Wear came in to tell us a hilarious story about her gym membership that she’s had for 8 years…8 YEARS!!! She also tells us all about what’s happening at both of her locations and what you need to know if you’re planning a summer wedding!
• Katy Klein from Klein Photography NW and Whatcom Showcase came in to chat about wedding photos and her upcoming Whatcom County Specific Vendor showcase coming up in March.
• As it was the first Festive Friday of the month, Matthew from Matthew’s Honest Cocktails came in to reveal the KAFE Cocktail of the month. It was a delicious spiked eggnog that will delight and warm the soul!
• Our favorite local artist, Veronica North, came in to talk about her upcoming show at the Wild Buffalo! She’s headlining on January 16th – doors open at 7pm. Get your tickets here.
• Ben Morton from the Owen Morton Foundation told us all about his son, Owen, who tragically passed away last year in a motorcycle accident. To keep Owen’s memory alive, the Owen Morton Foundation was founded to help raise funds for sports safety gear, music equipment, and funds for families who have lost a child. Tickets are available for A Night of Rock & Roll for Owen’s Foundation on Saturday, January 11th at The Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon! Come together and enjoy friends, community & family on what would’ve been Owen Morton’s 15th birthday. The event features LIVE music from Fanny Alger, The Dimes, Friends for the Ghost, Pops & The Boys, and Charlie Partin. Tickets are $25 with proceeds benefitting Owen’s Foundation.
• Gittle Goodman is our resident expert on happiness and today was her BIRTHDAY! Gittle came in just to be a VIP listener this morning and start her day off with a bang! Happy Birthday, Gittle!
