Have you ever wondered if the animals in the zoo are as entertained by you as you are of them? Well, at least in this case, it sounds like they are.
Staffers at the Newquay Zoo in Cornwall, England were getting concerned because the penguins were lonely without any people coming to visit. They need stimulation and, apparently, people walking past their enclosures usually provide that.
But, of course, the zoo is closed during the pandemic. And the penguins aren’t getting the stimulation they’re used to.
Well, thanks to a patron of the zoo who donated a bubble machine… the penguins are busy again.
One zoo official says, “The bubble machine is fantastic. All the movement and new shapes and colors really stimulate these guys. They have a great time chasing them around. And all these donations are really appreciated.”
