The average American worker spends roughly $1000 a year on coffee ALONE (more than $20 per week) while the commute to work costs $1400. You spend even more than that on lunch just over $1850 a year on LUNCH… about $37 a week!

The takeaway:  You probably can’t reduce your commuting costs too much…but if you cut half of your coffee and lunch budgets, you’d save $1500 a year…a nice tidy sum for a nice relaxing vacation from work (or that big screen TV you’ve been salivating over!).
