Wanna snag some deals for Cyber Monday? Here are a few mistakes to avoid:
First and foremost, buying it just because it’s on sale. You might think ‘Oh look, it’s only $500 today instead of $1000, that’s a killer deal! I need it now!’ But save yourself the $500 and don’t buy it just because it’s half price. Experts say we feel pressure to snag the deal because it’s ONLY today. Combine the anxiety of the limited time, the large discount, and the fact that it’s drilled into us that we won’t see prices this good for a year…and it makes us primed for an impulse buy. If you need it, by all means get it at half price. If not, save your money.
Other traps we fall into today, FOMO of course. We don’t want to miss out. Peer pressure too when everyone is posting their screamin’ deals! And falling for scams is also big on Cyber Monday. Because, again, we feel the pressure of time and don’t want to miss out on the deal so we’re not as vigilant as we could be. Snag a few today, but be mindful of your budget.
