Jim Pearson, a former Ferndale High School teacher, has run at least one mile every single day since February 15, 1970. If you’re doing the math – that’s a streak of over 20,310 consecutive days.
Despite health challenges (including blood clots and leg injuries) and surgeries over the decades, Jim’s dedication and consistency have made him a true inspiration, proving the power of persistence and showing how small daily habits can add up to extraordinary accomplishments.
Jim may hold the record now, but he’s hoping that his son Joel (who has a 30 year streak going) will be the one to break it in the future.
We chat about this amazing record in our Feel Good Moment of the Day.
