A recent article in Reader’s Digest suggested rubbing alcohol as an inexpensive cleaning agent–usually you can get a bottle for less than a buck and you can use it for so many things around the house. Their suggestions include:
Cleaning bathroom fixtures – “…It does a great job of making chrome sparkle, plus it will kill any germs in its path.”
Removing hairspray from mirrors – “…will whisk away that sticky residue and leave your mirror sparkling clean.”
Cleaning your phone – “…It’ll remove the grime and disinfect the phone at the same time.”
Removing ink stains – “…Try soaking the spot in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes before putting the garment in the wash.”
Erasing permanent markers – “…Rubbing alcohol will dissolve the marker back to a liquid state so you can wipe it right off.”
