Our Feel Good Moment came to use from listener, Emily! She shared this story:
A 79-year-old woman broke her leg in three places while on a hike and search-and-rescue couldn’t get there for five hours. So 20-year odl fellow hiker Troy May, who’s in the Air Force carried her out on his back.
One of his friends helped too, but Troy carried her for most of the three-hour trek. Another random person who’s a physical therapist helped out with a makeshift splint. And when Troy said his boots were giving him blisters, some guy gave him his shoes.
Troy and his buddy also drove the woman to a hospital two hours away, and waited with her until her son got there. She ended up with 11 screws and a titanium plate in her leg. The Air Force gave Troy a special “Achievement Medal” for it this month.
