Wild Things is an educational morning at a Bellingham Park, designed for kids 0-6 years old and their adults. Wild Things takes place Fridays & Saturdays from 9:30am-11:00am.
From the Wild Whatcom website:
In November, we will be looking out for the seals and sea lions feasting on migrating salmon in Whatcom Creek! Late autumn is the best time of year to look for salmon and the marine mammals who eat them, and we will be thinking all about the important roles salmon play in northwestern ecosystem. Come ready to get seal-y, have a blast exploring a creek-side trail, and get curious about all the things plants and animals are up to as they prepare for the colder months.
Location Note: We meet at the trailhead directly across West Holly Street from the Waterfront Tavern, outside of the (closed) environmental Learning Center building. This park does not have a dedicated parking lot, but there is abundant street parking on Holly in the mornings.
Program is FREE, but there is a suggested donation of $10 per person, $20 per family.
