The 28th Skagit Valley Highland Games & Celtic Festival is July 13th-14th at the Skagit County Fairgrounds in Mount Vernon!
In addition to your favorite events and games, this year’s new location is a chance for some new activities to enjoy.
- There are two new piping competitions: the Gordan Duncan Memorial Kitchen Piping Competition to honor the legacy and music of piper Gordon Duncan, and the Skye Richendrfer Memorial Jig Competition to honor the founder of Celtic Arts Foundation and the Skagit Valley Highland Games, who passed away in late 2022.
- Kids can pick up a free Games “Passport” to get stamped as they visit various tents and activities throughout the event.
- There are multiple parking options near the Skagit County Fairgrounds. There will be a shuttle running round trip from a lot at 121 Broadway St. and is recommended for ADA accessible parking.
- In addition to the beer garden and whisky garden, there will be a 21+ CAF Members Lounge open only to members of the Celtic Arts Foundation. The lounge is near the mainstage, providing views of the headlining activities, and will have beer, wine, cider, whisky, and gin drinks for purchase.
- On the evening of Saturday, July 13th, CAF is hosting a Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee), a social event with Scottish folk music and traditional dancing at Littlefield Celtic Center (1124 Cleveland Ave). Suggested donation $5-$10, bar available with drinks to purchase, observers welcome. Doors open at 6pm.
