The Skagit County Master Gardener Foundation invites you to an Open House on Saturday, June 28th from 10am-2pm!
You can explore 8 acres of gardens at one location – The Skagit County WSU Master Gardeners Discovery Garden, the Western Washington Fruit Research Foundation, and the Salal Native Plant Garden!
The Skagit WSU Master Gardeners Discovery Garden has 30 themed garden rooms with ADA accessible paths and educational displays. The Western Washington Fruit Research Foundation has 6 acres of fruit trees and berries, including the Antique Apple Collection. The Salal Native Plant Garden is a half-acre oasis of native plants for a shady, natural habitat.
While you’re there, you can talk with the volunteers that maintain the gardens. Find out what plants are best for the PNW. Learn some effective gardening practices, and more.
